Delfina is pleased to present a night of musical and sculptural performance. This collaboration between UK based artists Guy Bar Amotz and Sean Dower with Richard Wilson and others will be the first live event in the new Delfina gallery space.

At the heart of the performance are Guy Bar Amotz’s sound-system sculptures. While transmitting music these uniquely constructed sculptures resonate strongly providing an uncommon physical presence to the sound emanating. As a result the audience’s attention is directed to the formal, material and acoustic qualities of the sound.
Guy Bar Amotz and Sean Dower will perform on a lo-tech Mobile DJ Machine while wearing ‘Machileros’, portable components of the sound system.

Dower and Richard Wilson will also create a percussive performance using instruments that, like Bar Amotz’s sculptures resonate physically. Accompanied by an inventive series of visual and lighting effects, the sound system will ensure that the performers are constantly challenged as they explore the physicalities of sound.

Guy Bar Amotz (1967) was born in Israel and works and lives in London. Current and Recent solo shows include One In the Other, London (2005), The Project, Dublin (2004) and ‘Dance Machine’, Tate Britain, London (2003)
